Saving the Bees.. We NEED Our Pollinators!

  • Honey Bees

Save the bees. If bees Disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live. Is this true?

What is Pollination?

Are honey bees our number one pollinators?
Should we as humans be concerned about our bee population?

Can you imagine our stores and markets with out apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, tomatoes, melons, pumpkins, beans, peas, and much much more.

China Already pollinates their fruit crops by hand. China's bee population has diminished considerably. China does not have enough bees to pollinate their crops.

Pollination is essential to our crops and plants. With out pollination plants can not reproduce! Pollination is the transfer of pollen from one plant to another. This allows fertilization of plants.
There are about 4,000 Species of native bees in the United States. Most people do not know that there were not any honeybees in the United States before the European settlers brought their beehives with them. There are approximately 20,000 known species of bees through out the world. So it is not just the honeybees that pollinates. Here are other pollinators, Along with our bee population that pollinate for man kind. Birds, bats, butterflies, moths, flies, beetles, wasp, and small mammals. Should we as humans be concerned about our bee population? I would say yes. Humans would not be able to pollinate as efficient as our bees.

Our bee population works together so that all our plants can reproduce. With out them we would have to rely on wind pollinated crops. Wheat, rice, corn, rye, barley and oats. The human race would not get the proper nutrition in their diet. I will let you decide if the human race can survive with out bees!
